Fluff cupcake boxed mirror

Fluff_cupcake_mirrorWhile there's certainly a limit to how many matching accessories a person can have before others begin to see an obsessive personality disorder looming in the distance, I think tucking this Cupcake Boxed Mirror with Stones ($16) by Fluff inside a matching cupcake roll case (which is, of course, nestled inside a suitcase bearing a matching cupcake luggage tag) wouldn't be the cause of too many concerned whispers.

The pink sparkling stones are a bit much, if you ask me, but I suppose it complements the pink box and pink chiffon pouch the 2.5" x 2.5" mirror comes with quite nicely.

Pink cupcake receiving blanket

Cupcake_receiving_blanketThe best way to ensure that your baby girl grows up to be a fellow cupcake fanatic is to surround her with the little frosted cake as soon as possible. And since sugary desserts haven't been approved by pediatricians as a suitable substitute for milk and no one has come out with a line of in-womb accessories for the fetching fetus, the best we can do to expose our babies to cupcakes as early as possible is to bundle them up in this super soft cupcake receiving blanket from Luvable Friends.

The 100% cotton 2-ply blanket normally retails for $19.99 but can be purchased for as little as $7.99.

Cupcake banks that won't break yours

Cupcake_bank_ccI don't know what characteristics something has to have in order to be called a bank, but it doesn't seem that these cupcake banks have what it takes.

At the very least, piggy banks should have coin slots and based on what can be seen in the photo, these may not have any. In fact, without knowing their dimensions, I'd actually identify them as belonging to the same series of cupcake keepsake boxes I have at home (see photos below). There's no preventing anyone from stashing some loose change and crumpled bills into the cupcakes, of course, but I wouldn't call an empty soda bottle, milk jug, or anything else that can hold money a bank. But I digress.

Caramella Candy sells these cupcake banks for $12.50 apiece in your choice of "Stash for Sweets," "Cash for Cravings," and "Treats & Sweets."

Yorkie cupcake trinket box

Yorkie_cupcake_trinket_boxUm, okay.

All together now: 1, 2, 3 . . . random! What on earth is a Yorkshire Terrier doing sitting on top of resin cupcake trinket box ($10)? Aside from helping the box reach its 5" height, I mean.

I see that she's donning a little red bow between her ears, so unless that's what she always wears on Casual Friday, I'm guessing she's attending some kind of celebration. That would explain the confetti sprinkles surrounding her.

Too bad her self-centered decision to sit at the top of the cupcake was so poorly thought out. Depending on what kind of party it is, guests might mistake her for a candle and reach for a lighter. Not only that, but how is she supposed to get down from there without ruining the cupcake? She's already ruined the even distribution of sprinkles.

Harajuku Lovers cupcake patch keychain

Harajuku_cupcake_patchAfter seeing the Harajuku Lovers cupcake watch, casual cupcake fans probably immediately wrote off Gwen Stefani's fashion line as intolerably cute. I don't blame them; the highly decorated plastic band was overkill even for me (and I run this site!).

But if they had hung in there, they would've seen that not everything in the Harajuku Lovers cupcake series crosses that thin line between cute and puke. Look at this cupcake patch keychain, for example. The 3" patch, adorned with embroidered sprinkles and the words "super kawaii" (super cute), slides along a lobster-claw chain attached to a three-attachment metal ring. Tastefully cute, I'd say.

On sale for $4.99 from ShopKawaii.com.

Cupcake air freshener

Cupcake_air_freshenerIf your minivan is fresh out of that "new car smell" (that's just leather, right?) people can't seem to get enough of, then cover it up with the "long-lasting fresh scent" of a frosted cupcake. A pack of three double-sided cupcake air fresheners from Medo's Auto Expressions costs $6 from Amazon, and even though shipping and handling is a comparatively outrageous $7, it's still way cheaper than a brand new car!

I can't tell from the product description, but I assume the air freshener is meant to hang from the rear-view mirror. And what completes the perfect picture of a suburban soccer mom than a swinging tri-colored frosted cupcake visible through the windshield?

Fluff cupcakes roll case

Cupcake_roll_fluffSince you've already got a cupcake luggage tag attached to the outside of your suitcase, you may as well go whole hog and pack the matching $18 cupcakes roll case inside it too.

Ideal for makeup brushes and cosmetics, the 7" x 3" x 3" coated-canvas case comes with a matching mirror (that little circle sitting in front of it) and features faux patent leather trim. I've never been a fan of roll cases myself, as I don't care for the pencil-case look, but I guess I wouldn't mind having it at home.

Fluff cupcake luggage tag

Cupcake_luggage_tag_fluffMy husband and I keep matching strips of maroon fabric tied onto our suitcases for quick identification at the airport, but I think I might like to trade them for these ultra cute cupcake luggage tags from Fluff.

We've avoided luggage tags in the past because I don't trust the durability of their straps, but maybe we'll chance it if it means being able to retrieve a bag sporting a 5" x 5.5" faux leather cupcake tag from the baggage carousel. Then again, $14 times four bags is a lot to spend on tags we may never see again. That sandal strap it's hanging from is hardly the model of security (and who wouldn't want to steal this?).

Plastic cupcake cell phone charms

Cupcake_phone_charm_mgHaving never attached a tiny trinket to my cell phone before, I'm still having trouble imagining that a dangling charm wouldn't get in the way while on a call. Regardless of where the charms hang from the phone, don't they either get in the way or keep you from paying attention to the person on the other line?

If I had something like a cupcake phone charm swinging happily from my phone, I'm sure I'd be too busy playing with the shrink-plastic goodness to listen for which number to press to speak to a customer service representative.

Less easily distracted folk can get a 1" x 1" cupcake in one of six flavors for $6.

Hostess Cupcake metal lunch box

Hostess_cupcake_lunchboxUndoubtedly part of the same unofficial Hostess Cupcake merchandise series as the cupcake coin purse is this cute pink and brown cupcake lunch box. When not sold out at Fred Flare, the 8" x 7" x 4" tin sells for $12 and can be used to store anything from lunch, collectibles, and legal papers (not to mention a subpoena) from Hostess.

The sides of the lunch box are decorated with a pattern made up of pink hearts and cupcake outlines that actually look like "no" signs (as in "no trademark infringement allowed") from afar. The fun never ends around here!
